From rural Minnesota, I attended the University of St. Thomas and recieved Bachelor's degrees in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and American Culture and Difference Studies from the University of Saint Thomas, and my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota. Before becoming a therapist, I worked in community-minded nonprofits and the service industry for over 10 years. You can read more about me and my approach to therapy here.

Yarrow is historically a plant used for healing. Yarrow Psychotherapy believes that therapy is just one ingredient to holistic wellness and healing. Yarrow offers a place where individuals, couples, and families can find common ground and create a narrative together about where they find themselves, where they want to be, and how they can get there. Therapy is a meaning-making tool and not the be-all, end-all of mental, emotional, and relational well-being. Yarrow Psychotherapy can be an ingredient in your well-being.

Centered around criticism of psychotherapy's history and how the field has been used to maintain the status quo of capitalism, racism and xenophobia, patriarchy, and heteronormativity, Yarrow strives to move away from pathologizing clients and their problems. By declining to bill insurance, we are able to work together outside of the constraints of the medicalization of mental health. I reject the idea of pathologizing in order to create goals with you. Yarrow is client-oriented, meaning I meet my clients where they're at, without expectations of meeting goals insurance companies have to approve of. Your goals are my goals.

Yarrow conveniently offers telehealth appointments for ease of scheduling and accessibility. All telehealth appointments are provided by secure, HIPAA-compliant Google Meet or client portal links.
