Yes! Please reach out via email to schedule a free 15-minute consultation call to see if we are a good therapeutif match.
Therapy, by nature, is an incredibly personal choice. It can be a helpful practice to include for self care, create a more fulfilled life, and deepen your sense of self understanding and regulation. It can often be difficult to find a therapist you mesh with right away. In fact, for many people it takes 3 therapists to find the "right one."
Many therapists will offer consultations for clients to feel out if the therapeutic relationship feels "right" for everyone involved. If you're wondering if I might be a good fit for you, reach out to schedule a consultation.
Psychotherapy is another name for talk therapy. Yarrow provides therapy services but is not a perscriber and does not provide testing for ADHD, Autism and other neurodiverse testing and evaluation.
I hold an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, a COAMFTE accredited program. I am currently pursuing licensure under supervision of a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor.
This is up to you. Generally, it can take a little bit of time to get comfortable with your therapist, so weekly is often a great place to start. Frequency of therapy sessions varies from person to person, so it is up to you and your therapist to decide what is the best course of action. A few things to consider when decided on your session frequency are duration of sessions, finances, and your personal schedule.
By not taking insurance, Yarrow provides the most confidential services available. Yarrow takes a non-pathologizing approach to therapy, meaning a diagnosis is not reported to any entities other than you. It also means that we can explore treatment options that insurance may not cover. Not accepting insurance means that your notes, diagnosis (if you have one), and other information is not being shared with anyone except for you. If you are interested in using insurance, Emma may be able to see you at Minnesota Online Counseling.
Yes. Yarrow offers several $75 sliding scale spots in the schedule per month, prioritizing current clients in need of financial help. If you would like to add yourself to the sliding scale waitlist, you can email Emma and she will reach out to you when a space becomes available.
